NAR-5071, giving you connectivity of up to six
64-bit Gigabit Ethernet! |
|

Taipei, Taiwan - December 19, 2003 - The incessant advancement
in the speed of processor side bus of Intel® Pentium®
4 processor powers users up with unparalleled performance,
especially when integrating with Gigabit Ethernet. However,
the choices of 64-bit Gigabit platforms that exploit the superiority
of Pentium® 4 processor capability are scarce on the market.
To satisfy the market need, Portwell introduced a 64-bit/133
MHz wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet based platform, NAR-5071,
to provide the best solution to communication appliance and
network security market.
|
| Following
the exceptional connectivity of the previous version, NAR-5070,
this new NAR-5071 is enhanced both in bandwidth handling and
applications. In addition to the PCI-X tunnel design, NAR-5071
adds four more 64-bit/66 MHz Gigabit |
|
Ethernet
ports to provide a total of six 64-bit Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Among the existent Intel® Pentium® 4 processor based
communication platforms, NAR-5071 is the one that gives you
the highest networking performance.

|

In VPN applications, users make much of their
encryption and decryption features. For encrypted/decrypted
data, higher transmission speed is required. Featuring a PCI-X
expansion slot, NAR-5071 allows the plug-in of VPN accelerator
card or other cards that need no external port. Built on the
dual bus architecture, the PCI and PCI-X expansion slots are
separated in NAR-5071, enabling the expansion cards to operate
independently at no sacrifice of speed hold down.
|
NAR-5071 is incorporated
with a 250W power supply. It also received the CE/FCC/UL safety
certification. On the basis of complete product design and system
verification, NAR-5071 serves as a stable, reliable and complete
integrated hardware platform, allowing our customers to minimize
their efforts and market their products first.
