Portwell gets the honor of excellently implementing "Cleaner Production Project" from Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C. Representing tough environmental policies and guided performance
Taipei,Taiwan - 2005/12/7 - To praise for outstanding manufacturer as well as to reinforce enterprise conscious on environmental conservation, the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affaires held an award ceremony on Nov. 16, 2005. They also honored Portwell for its contribution on cleaner production implementation.
In addition to the award ceremony, the Industrial Development Bureau held the seminar on the same day. Portwell announced our case study to confront RoHS and WEEE impact on Industrial PC market and won the third ranking evaluation. To conserve the global environment, Portwell has been applied environmental protection systems with strictly process to control materials, manufacturing and quality reducing adverse impacts on human health. Besides, we have organized green supply chain to continually make an effort in reducing the environmental impacts caused by overall operations.

With the high raising environmental consciousness all over the world, Taiwan government is striving to foster the ?reen Industry?nd has expectations on both environmental conservation and economical development. Following the governmental policies, the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C. selects Portwell as the central factory of the year 2005. Moreover, they assign technical consulting team to guide Portwell and assist suppliers to implement cleaner production. Besides, they bring together the entire enterprise to reduce environmental problem from internal to external, furthermore, more effectively to build up green supply chain.

Portwell has devoted to promoting green product and implementing green supply chain in order to fulfill customers'demand meeting one-stop shopping and environmental friendliness. From Q3 2005, Portwell has already started producing the products with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substance) and WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) compliance assisting Taiwan industry to enhance international competency and competitiveness.
